The caravan park is well presented with good facilities.

We really enjoyed our stay apart from saturday night. The group of young people that stayed in the spa cabin ruined not only our stay but everyone elses in the surrounding area. They had an extremely loud and boisterous party going on till after 4.30 am. After putting up with the noise all night at 4.30 am I asked them if we could get at least two hours sleep before we had to get up. There reply was we might let you have three , and kept on talking outside at their cars just near our tent. WE have stayed at the park in cabins on a couple of other occasions with with friends that visit regullary with no drama. We will be back as this was possibly a rare occurance and if the noise stopped at midnight that would have been fine. Spoke to management on departure he said it will be their last stay as they were warned last year.

Excellent location

Good value, very close to marina and restuarants. Parking was a first come first serve basis but was never an issue.

Fantastic location probably has more to offer than Noosa (SE QLD) due to abundance of accommodation and long sandy beaches. Metered parking near the main beaches is bit of a damper though. ( Typical NSW beach TAX ).

The apartment was well presented

A well presented, clean , tidy and all round nice apartment to stay at. It is not on a busy road but only a few minutes drive from the centre. Very good views of the harbour from some rooms.

We had a good time at the big banana and butterfly park.

Nice surprise

Pleasantly surpised with the quality of this hotel even though i stayed in peak season so probably paid more then normal. I have never so much attendtion to detail in a hotel room from the way the mini bar menu was presented to the overall decoration of the room. Free wireless internet and free breakfast was a huge bonus. Staff were friendly and very welcoming. You do need a car to stay there as it is quite far from the port.

Definitely recommended!

Motel with hotel features

Some of the amenities offered by this motel include modern climate control (a/c) in addition to a ceiling fan, a refrigerator + mini-bar, microwave, electric kettle, dishes, extra pool towels, 24hr pool access, and parking beneath the building. The efforts to modernize the room were very apparent and well-appreciated, although the room/building itself did show a few signs of age and wear - to be expected at almost 0 less/night than hotel rooms in town with the same features.

The staff seemed friendly and attentive. The free DIY continental breakfast consisted of coffee, tea, two types of toast, several cereals, several juices, and two types of milk - although for some reason there was no "plain" orange juice and they seemed to run out of jam the 2nd morning we were there. I guess the early bird catches the toast.

Port Macquarie offers several small-to-medium beaches surrounded by paths providing moderate exercise and lovely lookout points, and also claims to offer Koala spotting and Camel rides (we missed out on those).

We enjoyed a flavorful meal at the Wall of China Chinese Restaurant, which so far we can recommend, and dessert with freshly-pressed waffle cones at the local Baskin Robbins. If you'd rather promote Aussie commercialism, never fear - there is a Cold Rock right down the street. The town boasts several Asian restaurants and a Mexican restaurant as well as a Hog's Breath Cafe and a Pancake Place, among others.

No value for money in Australian holiday

Itâ??s been a long time since I spent that much money on accommodation for a Christmas break - even though I agreed to the amount of money that I paid I didnâ??t see any extra value when rate was lifted during the stay - I would just simply call this greed. On arrival we were asked to pay the full amount which was an oversight when not reading the itinerary, but donâ??t see a problem with this other than I could have invested my money for the length of the stay and paid at the end.

we were told that we will receive a starter pack which consisted of 2 toilet rolls some tea bags coffee and sugar - this was to last us a 10 day stay - I am still looking for value for money.

During the stay there was no house keeping of any sort and was left to do our own cleaning.

Bent Street Motor Inn. Reviewed: January 2009. #1942

The only thing that I found unsatisfactory was the fact that the grouting in the bathroom was dirty and not very clean. The overall service was great and the Proprietor was helpful in every way and willing to go out of her way to assist in everything.

Thank you..

Unfortunately not much to see or do in the time that I had, but I was there to catch up with family after all, who needs somewhere to go :P

Clean, tidy and friendly

It was raining again. Second time to Forster and it was pouring but still enjoyable.

This property did not live up to the image of its name and price. Greatly disappointing.

The room although comfortable, was somewhat dated & in need of a makeover for the image portrayed via web search. Told no evening refreshments were available anymore despite mention of seafood platters and teas on net. Cutlery and plates but no way to self-cater which considering one needed to go 40+km return journey to find a restaurant was a real pain. Breakfasts were excellent but no better than others we had had at lesser priced establishments.

Its location over looking Wallis Lake was delightful but not enough to counteract its distance from amenities and the lack of facilities in the immediate surround. (The one & only small shop in Coomba Park itself which was closed anyway). The relevant remoteness was a fact not obvious until arrival. The swimming pool had a very small area on which to place sunbeds/chairs and with maximum bed occupancy would have been uncomfortable.

As Galway Downs was to be a treat at the end of a busy touring itinerary it was a great disappointment.

Due to its isolation, staying at Galway Downs involved much extra travelling to access attractions in the wider area.

Going by your ad this was an apartment on arriving we find its one large room and bathroom very disappointing. As we were up for a funeral we had didn't go sight seeing, however we do go to Sawtell quite often and love the area. However we will never stay at this Haven Beach Apartments??? again.

One night stay

Only reasonable review, flat batteries in TV remote, cockroach in kitchen, dim lighting. On the good side, spacious rooms, responsive host and friendly staff.
