Friendly reception; room was excellent, cleanliness and general neatness was apparant..

Apart from the high standard of the room appointments, the security arrangements for after hours was particularly comforting giving peace of mind during our stay.

The Tourist centre was well positioned in the town, providing reasonable carparking, a feature not normally associated with other tourist info centres we visited in NSW, which I found to be somewhat curious. The close proximity to the sea, the well appointed Bowling Club, and the variety of cafe's and restaurants made the stay most enjoyable.

cabin was very comfotable

Clog barn has very friendly people and service, was a shame we did not stay longer as there arelots of things we now know we missed. Next time will definitely be longer.

Was unable to do or see much to be able to comment on. As i reply to this review there are major storms around coffs harbour area so hope everyone is safe down there. This is written 24th may from darwin nt.

Ever heard of mops and cleaning agents?

Bathroom door was broken so we had to shut kids in a room while 23yr old had a shower for privacy, blankets in the wardrobes were damp and musty which made our asthmatic daughter sick, the floor was absolutely filthy and obviously hadn't been washed in months or longer, would never stay here again.

Pet Porpoise pool was excellent entertainment and SSS BBQ barn was delicious.

Nautilus Beachfront Villas . Reviewed: April 2009. #1072

There was great space, the kids loved the pool, the food was good in the restaurant and the service was fantastic. There were a few down points. We felt for the price, the decor was very dated, and the interior was not overly clean. There was limited kitchen utensils compared to other places we have stayed and the quality of saucepans etc were not great. We found holes in the towels provided, and there was a hole in the sheets aswell.

The tv signal was not good either. The potential was certainly there, but we feel there are many new, more fully equipped apartments out there for under 0/ night.

Coffs Harbour is a great town - there was lots to do and good places to eat. It was a short visit, but we will be back!

The Bates Hotel

When I booked online I was not under any illusions - it was cheap but at least had photo's of a lovely river etc which mislead me to think that I was going to be able to go for a lovely walk in peace. There were drunks in every caravan (which the ad did not metion caravans) and I had to walk between 2 vans to access the river. The walk was steep and scary. We also had signs on the back of the door telling us to lockdown at night which was not comforting for my elderly mother.

I tried to access the internet but the link was down and management didn't know how to help or even offer to call anyone. The room was apparently a 'deluxe' family, yet we all but had to climb over the beds to access the bathroom and we awako to every noise from the unit above. We couldn't wait to get out of there and would have saved alot of $ and had just as good a sleep if we had stayed in a rest area.

We were bitterly disappointed and would not recommend this accomodation to anyone - even as a pet motel!

Don't walk outside your accomodation after dark in Kempsey.

Great rooms, great location

I stayed at Mantra Quayside Apartments in November last year and had a great stay so it was my first choice when I came back in April. The rooms are a good size and the location is perfect for any half-ironman/ironman participants, just a short walk to transition! The staff are very friendly and always willing to help. The roof pool is great too, lap pool size and nice and warm.

The owners of the clog barn were friendly and we were made very welcome. The little cabin we stayed in was fully self-contained and spotless. It did not come with a microwave as advertised but we did not mention this to the owner as we did not need it for our stay. I will definately be returning to the clog barn in the future.

Excellent Views

More attention to housekeeping needed. eg. light fittings and fan controls to be in good working order. Also check that previous guests have left crockery and cutlery clean.

It is quite noisy place

It is a motel just beside the pacific highway, and very noisy during the night. The facility of the motel is very so-so. I will not choose this one if I knew this before.

Comfortable and casual

Unit 2 of the Club Yamba Luxury Hilltop Resort suited us as one night stayers. It was clean, neat, fresh and close to everything.

The check in and check out procedures are quite relaxed.

Car parking is a little limited.

Nice place Good clean rooms. Lovely location Unfortunately Room 1 which we stayed in was very noisy due to traffic on the RD and the sounds of the sliding gates which led to the car park and were right beside our bedroom This disturbed our sleep on all nights we stayed I would stay at this place again as long as I wasnt in Room 1 and was placed somewhere near the back of the resort away from the RD and more importantly the gate.

The best thing about this property is location. It is walking distance to most attractions. The view from balcony is fantastic. The motel is quite outdated and could do with being refurbished. The room we were allocated was a spa room for our romantic getaway. The spa was not working, we were very dissapointed. When we reported this to the service desk they showed no interest.

We love Nelson Bay because it is a nice quiet place to stay. It has many nice restraunts and cafes.
